Ron, the founder of the band. is a retired banker and relocated with his wife Jane, to Dewey, Arizona in 2000. Ron has always had an affinity for music, as his family played bluegrass and gospel music during his youth. He writes and performs many original songs. Ron plays the reasonator guitar and does some of the singing for the band.
"Buckaroo" Bernie hails from Chicago and his wife Sue from Colorado, and they moved to Arizona about 12 years ago. Bernie plays the washtub bass and has been known to tell a tall tale from time to time. Sue planned to become a music major in college, but soon learned it was not a particularly lucrative trade so she now works in the corporate world. She plays keyboard and does some of the singing for the band.
Jane trys very hard to keep the band pointed in the right direction. Although she does not play an instrument or sing,she is the band videographer (audio and video), keeps the finances and helps with the "roady" type work. She has been supportive of Ron's venture in trying to bring gospel and country music to many local venues, senior centers, and churches.
Gena and her husband Jim, moved to Prescott from Escondido, Ca. in July 2011. Gena grew up singing in her home church in Slidell, Louisiana. Since then she has performed in musical theatre productions, church choirs and performed for the Prescott Acker Night with two other bands. She has played guiatr since grade school, and began playing banjo only a few years ago. Her love for singing and good harmony is infectious!
